An exclusive agency arrangement with J.S. Johnson & Company, one of the oldest and most established underwriting agencies in the Bahamas, has allowed us to simplify our systems, minimize our administrative costs, and develop a seasoned understanding of our marketplace.

ICB works closely with its reinsurance broker to ensure that the company’s balance sheet is well protected and that our very conservative reinsurance programme is supported by some of the strongest reinsurers around the globe.

Edward Lloyd, the man whose coffee shop would eventually become the world’s oldest and largest insurance market, was never an insurer; he was a facilitator, providing the platform upon which underwriters and brokers built the modern insurance industry.
Working closely with the market under one globally trusted name, the Lloyd's Corporation provides the premises in which the market operates, and oversees and supports the trading that goes on within it.
